YEScarolina Student Among Top Three Youth Entrepreneurs in the Country

At the beginning of today, October 9th, in Silicon Valley, Jesse Horine was among the top forty-one students in the country competing in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s National Challenge presented by Mastercard for a chance to win $25,000. Now he is only hours away from being the first student in YEScarolina history to compete in the final round of the NFTE National Challenge. Currently a freshman at the College of Charleston, Jesse Horine is now among the top three entrepreneurs in the country. Horine originally from Fort Mill, SC, placed in the YEScarolina Mark Motley State Business Plan Competition in June winning seed money in the thousands thus advancing him to Nationals.

Jesse’s business venture, SouthernFly, is a lifestyle brand that sells convenience and a complete experience for outdoor enthusiasts & fly fishermen. SouthernFly aims to be an online, one stop shop for all fly fishing needs. Follow him on Instagram and twitter @southernfly_sc.
