Turning “street smarts” to “business smarts”

Thanks to Sam’s Club, NFTE was featured in a USA Today insert this past weekend.  The article shared the story of Rodney Walker, a NFTE alum, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. Rodney spent his adolescence being shuffled through 15 foster homes and was considering dropping out of his school until he found the entrepreneurial class at his high school.  He went on to place in NFTE’s 2008 National Young Entrepreneur Challenge and has no plans of stopping there.  This former potential high school drop-out is now a junior in college with a 3.5 GPA and the co-owner of Forever Life Music & Video Productions.  I have been fortunate enough to hear Rodney speak, and he is absolutely incredible.  He is captivating and his story is purely inspirational.
